How to prepare for your appointment

DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT

Here is how to prepare for your upcoming appointment:

  • Arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment. I cannot guarantee seeing you any sooner.

  • Please do not wear eye and/or brow makeup. Wash off gently prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid heavy creams and/or sunscreens on the skin and eyes prior to your appointment.

  • It’s advisable that you remove contact lenses prior to your lash appointment.

  • Don’t drink caffeine 3-4 hours prior to your appointment. This causes the eyes to flutter excessively, making the process very uncomfortable, and can impede in the process.

  • I love getting to know you, but once the chemicals are placed it will be a “quiet” appointment. Talking with eyes closed can cause facial and eye movements that can result in the chemicals getting in your eyes, resulting in chemical burns.

  • Bring headphones to your appointment if you’d like. As mentioned above, it will be a quiet appointment, and many choose to listen to their audiobooks or podcasts. I will always have relaxing music, but feel free to listen to whatever you’d like.

  • Dress comfy! You’ll be relaxing on my state of the art zero-gravity leather recliner, which means you’ll most likely doze off. Come in sweats, no judgement here ;)

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

Your lashes have been lifted, and/or your brows laminated. Here is how to take care of them so the hair stays healthy and strong, and your lift/lamination lasts.

  • Don’t get them wet for 8 hours. The leave-in conditioner needs to penetrate deep inside the hair.

  • Use your Elleeplex conditioner twice a day (am/pm) for optimal nourishment. Not doing this will cause hairs to get frizzy and tips to break.

  • Stop using waterproof, or difficult to remove mascaras. Purchase tubing mascara instead. I recommend Tarte, Thrive or Blink.

  • Use makeup remover that is oil-based, or balm for gentle removal of eye & brow makeup. The less friction to the hair, the better. I recommend Osea makeup remover, Clinique balm or Farmacy balm.

  • Always wipe lashes in the direction of hair growth, ie: from base to tip. Never side to side, or circular motion.

  • Avoid excessive eye rubbing. Whether it’s for itching, or removing makeup. This can cause breakage.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m always available to answer and clarify anything.

Enjoy your beautiful lashes & brows.

Cecilia
